Dr Anastasia Chapple-Harris - Dentist

Hi, I am part of The Happy Tooth ownership team of oral health professionals and will be the principal dentist with The Happy Tooth at Scone.

Originally a Queenslander, I completed my dentistry studies in Orange (Charles Sturt University). I previously obtained a Bachelor of Science (Biomedicine) from the University of Queensland.

I have now been in Regional New South Wales for close to a decade and have fallen in love with it, particularly the Hunter Valley which is now my home.

The Happy Tooth clinics have set out to provide state of the art oral health services to the Hunter Valley, the most recent clinic is that to be opened in Scone (240 Kelly Street). The Happy Tooth is committed to providing its patients with the best available oral health technology, up-to-date equipment, trained staff and interesting premises. I am proud to be a part of that team and look forward to The Happy Tooth providing services to the Scone and Upper Hunter areas.

I love being a family dentist and am looking forward to working as part of the Scone clinical team with Dr Irene (Fang), Dr Molly (Wilcox) and Hygienist Bridgitte (Paul) and our Oral Therapist James (Biddle). Denture services will be provided by our in-house dental prosthetist, Jon Pride (Smile with Pride).

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy spending time with family (my own and The Happy Tooth), friends, good food and wine. I also enjoy stand up comedy and relaxing with yoga.

Jon Pride - Dental Prosthetics

Hi! my name is Jon and I graduated from Randwick Tafe with and Associate Diploma in Dental Technology in 1999. After 2 years of gaining experience throughout a diverse range of cases in the field of dental technology, I furthered my studies as a dental technician by upgrading my qualifications to a Diploma in Dental Technology. In 2004 I pursued my passion further by undertaking an Advanced Diploma in Dental prosthesis, graduating in July 2006 as a registered Dental Prosthetist. In doing so I also received the ‘Phil Harris Award’ for the best student overall. My studies continue today constantly gaining knowledge in the field of dentures and more recently implant retained dentures. In 2009 I was involved in the education of Dental Prosthetics at Randwick Tafe as the assistant teacher for implant retained dentures.

I have been working in Sydney throughout my career and am thoroughly enjoying escaping the city to work within the beautiful surroundings of the Hunter Valley, especially due to the abundance of golf courses, vineyards and exciting motorcycle rides at my fingertips.

Bridgitte Saunders - Dental Hygienist

Hi, My name is Bridgitte and I am a dental hygienist at the Happy Tooth Scone.

Originally from Tamworth, I completed a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Newcastle on the Central Coast in 2014. I began my working as a hygienist in 2015 in the Port Macquarie region, and had practiced there for the last 5 years. My family and I have recently relocated to Scone. We were drawn to the area as my husband is originally from the hunter and our extended family are all here too. We are excited to be back in a rural community and look forward to raising a family here.

I have always enjoyed all aspects of dentistry and find working in the profession very rewarding. I have worked in the industry since finishing school, starting as a dental assistant, and continued to do so whilst studying to become a hygienist. I have therefore always had a passion for and found dentistry interesting. I enjoy being able to provide high quality healthcare and optimal outcomes for patients, whilst making there dental appointments a positive experience.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, as well as our extended family. We love to visit and help out on our family’s farm near Scone. I also enjoy playing tennis and reading.

I look forward to making this area home and treating patients at the Happy Tooth Scone.

Dr Irene Fang - Dentist

Hi, my name is Irene and I am one of the dentists here at The Happy Tooth in Scone.

I originally hail from the Central Coast but after spending 5 years at a regional university and experiencing rural and regional Australia, I have found myself enjoying being away from the city. That's how I ended up in the Upper Hunter, which I have been loving as everyone is so warm and welcoming.

I hope to provide dentistry in a similar manner in return!

Now, I’m thrilled to be a part of the Hunter community, where my goal is to create smiles that radiate both health and happiness.

Beyond dentistry, you’ll often find me spending time with my dog, Bowie, exploring new cafes, attempting to crochet cardigans and delving into a good book.

I Looking forward to meeting you at your next appointment.
